Returns Policy

At Venbeck we are committed to supplying quality products. However, because the majority of our range consists of food, beverages, butchery, fresh produce and other perishable items, we maintain a strict returns policy.

General Rule

All sales are final. Goods are sold on a firm-sale basis and returns, refunds or exchanges are not accepted as a matter of course.

When Returns May Be Considered

We will only consider a return in the following limited circumstances:

  • The wrong product or incorrect quantity was delivered.
  • The goods arrived damaged or defective (visible damage must be noted on the delivery note at the time of receipt).
  • The goods have passed their “best before” or expiry date on delivery (where applicable).

Time Limits

Any request for a return must be reported in writing (email or WhatsApp to our sales team) within 24 hours of delivery or collection. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.

Conditions for Return

  • The goods must be in their original, unopened packaging and in a saleable condition.
  • Perishable items (fresh meat, dairy, fruit & vegetables, chilled or frozen products) are subject to immediate inspection upon return.
  • We reserve the right to inspect all returned goods before approving any credit.
  • Special-order, cut-to-order, promotional or clearance items are not returnable.

Return Process

  1. Contact our sales or accounts department immediately with your account number, delivery note or invoice number, and clear photographs of the issue.
  2. Await written approval from Venbeck before returning any goods.
  3. Approved returns must be returned to our Tzaneen premises at your cost, unless the error was made by Venbeck.

Refunds and Credits

Where a return is approved, we will issue a credit note to your account. Cash refunds are given only in exceptional circumstances and at Venbeck’s sole discretion.

Exclusions

  • Any opened or partially used products
  • Fresh butchery, dairy, fruit & vegetables after 24 hours
  • Goods damaged or spoiled after delivery/collection
  • Items purchased on promotion or as special orders

This Returns Policy forms part of our standard Terms and Conditions of Sale. Venbeck reserves the right to amend this policy at any time.

A note from us

Having said all of the above, if you ever receive a product that you’re not completely happy with — especially when it comes to quality — please just let us know. We’ve always believed in looking after our customers, and we’ll do whatever we can to resolve it quickly and fairly.
